BBFNSW-ACT Conference/AGM

We still need some more attendees.  Please consider getting involved and coming along to the MLC Centre on Tuesday 7th September.  We have some great Presenters and an open forum on Directory listing Companies and on AAA Tourism. (See the attached Program)  Register and pay online at this Web Address.

The AGM is where you can also get your message across like the old penny for your thoughts. If you cannot make it to the Conference/AGM, consider sending your thoughts in via email to bill.sanderson@bedandbreakfast.org.au

An all new Operating Guidelines (Edition 4 with 26 pages of amendments which resulted in an additional 8 pages) is available as a Conference special at the old price up until the close of the Conference when it will change to $33 for Members and $66 for non Members. (the first increase for this very popular publication).

Membership Renewals

There are still a number of Members who have not renewed as yet.  Please process your renewal either online here or by sending the renewal form into the Office.
It is necessary that you renew so as to allow your Association to represent you to Government and other Organisations as well as paying affiliation to HMAA so you can reap the benefits.  The Board has exrended the renewal date to the end of September, after that, if you have not renewed you will be considered unfinancial and your membership cancelled.

Change to Code of Practice

The Board recognises that it is not always possible to be there all the time for Guests but bears in mind that the difference between us and other forms of accommodation quite often is the fact that we are "hosted".  Accordingly, it has modified the Code of Practice by changing:

This

  • provide a personal on-site welcome to guests either as the owners of the property or as managers acting on the owners behalf.

To this:
  • The host or a person nominated by the host is available to guests during their stay to provide assistance with facilities, local attractions and other necessities and where possible 'meet and greet on arrival'.  Contact details should be provided for any instances where the host or a nominated person is not physically on the premises.
