2009 Inaugural

HMAA National Accommodation Industry Awards for Excellence

Hotel Motel & Accommodation Association (HMAA) has announced their inaugural National Awards for Excellence and National A.C.E.S. Awards and Bed & Breakfast and Farmstay operators are encouraged to make a submission.

The application process has been designed to be user friendly, with submissions only required to be about five pages in total. You can hand write and fax your submission if you prefer, and there is a sample of a completed B&B application form to use as a reference if you need it  (see attached).

The HMAA Accommodation Industry Awards for Excellence in 2009 (application form attached) will acknowledge Australia's finest properties, exceptional staff and outstanding businesses. A major part of the judging process will be the assessment by mystery guest visits. Each property will receive a copy of the mystery guest report.

The A.C.E.S. Awards (nomination form attached) are all about focusing on and rewarding the core industry values of Attitude, Commitment, Enthusiasm and Service. In an industry so reliant on the dedication of it's staff, this is a wonderful time to recognise and reward the individuals whose commitment to excellence is vital to the success of the accommodation business.

The awards will be presented at a Gala Dinner on 23rd October 2009 (invite attached).

Submissions for both the HMAA Accommodation Industry Awads for Excellence and the A.C.E.S. Awards close next week, so download your forms now, or visit the HMAA website for more details.  Members of BBFNSW-ACT receive the same rate as HMAA members for everything, submissions and the dinner.
