Free Basic Listing For All Full Members
You are automatically listed on the Accommodation Directory once you have met all the requirements of full membership. This free Basic Listing contains: your property name, address, region & locality, Star Rating if applicable, B&B Type and telephone number. There are also links directly to your website (if you have one) or to your email address (if no website).
Cost: Free to all full members.
Members' Advertising Options
Can I Increase My Exposure On The Directory Website?
There are a number of additional options you may pay for to advertise your property, each of the following options include an "enhanced listing".
Please note that fees for all advertising options run from 1 January each year with no pro-rata rebate available.
Enhanced Listing - Advertising Option 1
An enhanced listing expands the free basic listing (available to all members). The information displayed for your property will contain a brief description (no photographs) and some hidden, yet appropriate, keywords are added to the Directory database.
How does it work? Properties are listed alphabetically within the directory (which is divided by localities within each tourism region) and the enhanced listings are positioned above the free basic listings and marked with a small star.  When a visitor uses the search facility, results are returned based on the relevance of the listings according to the search terms used and enhanced listings will perform better because they have more information in them.
You are encouraged to take out this option (as a minimum) to provide visitors with more information about your B&B or Farmstay thus making your property easier to find. This is a low-cost and powerful option enabling your property to be found under a wider range of search terms than the basic listings.
For an example of how this works, simply do some test searches. If you cannot find your property using the main key phrases for your offer - you need an enhanced listing! ( to adjust your existing one.)
Cost: $55 (including GST) per annum; no set-up costs.
This option is provided free of charge with each of the following options.
AdPage - Advertising Option 2
This is recommended as a good starting point for members who do not have their own website. Members with websites find that an AdPage on the Directory website adds extra exposure and a marketing boost. Each page is individually optimised for good positioning in their own right in the major search engines and to complement existing websites with unique content. The AdPages can be accessed from the accommodation Directory website via a page which is linked to from the "Featured B&Bs" section on the right hand side of the directory. They are listed on the"Featured B&Bs" page in alphabetical order and offer the visitor a small image & description with links to the AdPage and direct links to existing websites for easy access.
The AdPage option is provided in a template style that matches the look of the Directory website. It includes an expanded description of your property (around half an A4 page) and 2 images along with contact details and links to your website if you have one. Cost: $110 for a one-time creation and set-up fee and $110 per annum (both prices include GST). This includes a free Enhanced Listing for the currency of the option.
Banner Ad - Advertising Option 3
This will boost your exposure with a small graphical banner advertisement that will be displayed in rotation with other member's banners in the "Featured B&B" section of on the main pages of the Directory website (including the search results page).
The Banner Ad will also display in rotation within the directory sections and tourism information pages relevant to your region along with any other advertisers in that region. The banner is linked directly to your web page or website. Banner Ads are also displayed (as a group) below the AdPages on the special "Featured B&Bs" page.
Cost: $110 for one-time creation and set-up of the banner plus $165 per annum for display (both prices include GST). This includes a free Enhanced Listing for the currency of the option.
Combined AdPage & Banner Ad - Advertising Option 4
This is the "ultimate" provided by the Association in directing traffic to your own web page or website combining the web "visibility" of the AdPage with immediacy of the Banner Ad displaying on the Directory Website.
This option can only be taken out for new advertisers having the work completed by our designer at the same time. If you already have one or the other and want this option request the additional option at the regular price and pay the discounted annual rates when you renew.
Cost: $185 for one-time creation and setup of the page and banner plus $235 per annum for display. This includes a free Enhanced Listing for the currency of the option.
